/list   - lists all current channels, they are in the thousands.
/join   - to join a channel or make a new channel.
/part   - to leave a channel (same as /leave).
/quit   - exits your IRC session, (same as /bye and /exit this is a hard exit, i.e., quits the program and IRC).
/nick   - changes your nickname i.e., like this /nick LordTicK.
/away   - leaves a message saying you're away or not paying attention to what is happening in the channel.
/whois   - displays information about someone (a nick) you have chosen to get more information on.
/invite   - sends an invitation to another user to /join the channel you are on, or a channel you want them to come to.
/kick   - gets rid of someone on a channel, who is making trouble or you want to leave. NOTE: You must be an op.
/topic   - changes the topic of the channel you are on, if the channel is set to "+t" then you must be an op to change the topic.
/me   - sends anything about you to a channel or /query (this is the command for an ACTION in the channel you are on).
/msg   - sends a private message to another nick you have named like this /msg (nick) "Let's talk".
/query   - starts a private conversation to another nick you have named like this /query (nicK) "Let's talk privately".
